Isabel Shecter is an Art Therapist who received her Master’s in Creative Arts Therapy from Hofstra University. Isabel is on her way to receiving her LCAT in Art Therapy. Isabel has worked at numerous facilities including her most current facility “Children of Promise.” This program helps children of incarcerated parents. There, she conducted virtual Art Therapy sessions and helped facilitate virtual Art Therapy sessions. Additionally, she helped create the curriculum for the Art Therapy department. At her other placement, she worked at a program named “Yachad.” Yachad is a program for Jewish developmentally disabled adults. There, she led the Art Therapy program with assistance from a licensed Art Therapist. She kept well-documented notes and came up with the curriculum leading both individual sessions as well as group Art Therapy sessions. Isabel is motivated, kind, caring and wants to make a difference in your child’s life!
